The Birth of a Sage
There’s more in life to deal with
than worry about
what a true friend is...
in the end,
you will die alone.
I’ve been told
treating you better than
I treat myself will
take me a long way, but
if I open up my chest
to envelop your
problematic situations,
it will clog my arteries.
We consume hope in quarters
yet receive change in pennies
that leave a rusty smell
in your hands.
Get a fresh dollar,
spend it well.
We are fickle ladies and gentleman
Please understand that when it concerns commitment
Be a mirror and do not refract yourself.
Information is power, but a burden with hypocrisy
This is a poem I wrote back in 2011 after reflecting over different parts of my life. Please feel free to share your interpretations of this piece. Thanks for viewing my site!
